Scheduling: WP-Cron, background execution and server cron

How often

The Plugin fetches news every N minutes. The default is 15 minutes and it is configurable. Each run can read both sources, RSS Nepal only, or websites only.

WP-Cron

WordPress's built-in scheduler runs only when someone visits your site. On quiet sites, or on hosts that block it, runs may be late or skipped.

Background execution

The Plugin can run the import after the visitor-facing page has already been sent, so readers never wait. This helps where WP-Cron is blocked or unreliable.

Real server cron (recommended)

A cron job on your server triggers imports on a fixed schedule, independent of traffic. This is the most reliable option.

Scheduled jobs depend on correct server configuration. Some hosts restrict cron or background requests.
